My heart is such

my heart is such ~
a raindrop;
and she ~
as the greenest grass.

and seeing how my dream of dreams
scintillates on her skin,
painted by her hue,
like a rock dropping from a cliff,
do i also fall ~
i fall as the sweetest dew
to be cut
by her blade of grass;

a cut ever gentle,
yet too deep,
that my water bleeds;

but i will always be this water
(and she will always be the finest blade) ~
because that is what raindrops do:
we fall.

we fall to nourish the muddy earth ~
only not me;
for i fall
like a shooting star,
sometimes like her tears,
but always a sure fall
~ again and again ~
for her blade
of grass.
