My earth bends

My earth bends
As you bend
To pick a flower,
Wearing the nightgown that you wore
Sweetly the night before.
The same night when silken gowns
Flung open
Scattered in the air,
While I grab you
And yank
Your moonlight hair.

You then give me the flower
And hold my hand
Inside your two hands,
And ask me to trust
In the petals of fate:

“I love you, I love you…” you whisper,
While I pluck the petals
Our flower,
Our flower.
